FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied to electrical engineering. Method involves comparing current consumed by load with preset value, is consumed current becomes less than specified value, then first outputs are disconnected, and then, high power transformer inputs from load and voltage source, respectively, and current to load is obtained from lower capacity transformer, if consumed current becomes greater than or equal to specified value, then inputs are first connected, and then outputs of higher power transformer to voltage source and load, respectively. In device to reduce voltage transformation losses two different power transformers are connected into parallel channels between common voltage source and load, and switches input and output units are connected at larger power transformer input and output, control unit is connected to switches units control inputs and current converter unit, which input is connected in series with parallel power transmission channels and load.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability, wider range of operating voltages, reduced power losses during voltage transformation for different in power, nature and degree of symmetry sources and loads.
