FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of synthesis gas and can be used in chemical industry. Method of producing synthesis gas involves introduction of methane and carbon dioxide into a reaction chamber. Layer of carbon-containing solid material is directed through reaction chamber as a moving bed. In bed of carbon-containing solid material methane and carbon dioxide is converted into hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Synthesis gas formed in reaction chamber by counterflow is fed to moving bed and is cooled therein. Carbon-containing solid material used is carbon-containing granulate containing at least 80 wt% carbon.
EFFECT: invention provides continuous production of synthesis gas, wherein there is no need for catalyst regeneration, creating flow of gaseous product, which is mainly free of impurities of solid particles.
