FIELD: physics, measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact measurement of temperature of high-temperature gases, particularly to means of measuring gas temperature and the spread of its values in hollow high-temperature elements of gas turbine engines, and can be used for experimental investigation of the working process of power plants when conducting aerodynamic tests. The device for determining gas temperature in hollow high-temperature elements of gas turbine engines comprises, arranged in a high-temperature element, a housing with a cylindrical holder, main and at least one compensation thermocouples installed in the holder, connected through recording units to an electronic adder, wherein the thermojunctions of the main and compensation thermocouples have the same size and are thermally insulated from each other. According to the invention, the device is provided with a constant radiation source, configured to be placed in the cavity of the high-temperature element and move relative to the housing of the device, which is installed in the high-temperature element with possibility of back and forth movement, the holder is installed in the housing with possibility of rotation around its axis and is provided with a drive, and the surface layer of the thermojunction of the compensation thermocouple is made of material whose absorption coefficient differs by magnitude from that of the material of the surface layer of the thermojunction of the main thermocouple.
EFFECT: invention enables to eliminate distortion of thermocouple readings, associated with radiant heat exchange of thermojunctions thereof.
