SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of searching. Search request is received from an electronic device connected to a user. In response to the search request a ranged search request result set is composed, wherein the ranged search request result set contains the result of general search and result of vertical search; each of the results of general search and vertical search is obtained from the corresponding search source; result of vertical search is a widget. Degree of confidence in the relevance of the vertical search result in respect to the search request is determined. In response to the degree of confidence, which is higher than a preset threshold, display of result of vertical search by device is initiated, result of vertical search is represented by a widget. In response to the degree of confidence, which is below a preset threshold, display of result of vertical search and result of general search by electronic device is initiated.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improved relevancy of search results.
