METHOD FOR DISSECTION OF INCOMPLETE INTRAUTERINE SEPTUM Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B17/42 A61B18/20

Abstract RU 2610542 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: septum length from the outer contour of the uterine fundus to the top of the septum, projecting into the uterine cavity is preliminarily assessed with ultrasound in 3D. The length of the septum area to be dissected is calculated together with the length of the working part of the light pipe. A rigid office hysteroscope with oval cross-section is used for intrauterine septum dissection. Moreover, the end of the quartz fiber light pipe is made free from the polymer shell for the predetermined length corresponding to the length of the working part of the light pipe prior to the operation. The vaporizing channel is formed during operation by gradual immersion of the working part of the light to its working length into the septum tissue, which is the most protruding in the uterine cavity in the cross-sectional plane thereof. Then, the working part of the light pipe is immersed into the septum tissue once again with a space on both sides of the first immersion to a shallower depth, the septum tissue between the established vaporizing channels is dissected.

EFFECT: method provides dissection of incomplete intrauterine septum at the strictly predetermined depth and avoids possible perforation of the uterine wall in its bottom.
