FIELD: physics, measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement technology and can be used to measure mass flow and mass of viscous liquid media. The meter comprises a housing 1, a measuring unit 2 placed therein, on the housing - an inlet manifold 3, an outlet manifold 4, an electrical heater 5. The housing 1 is a horizontally placed cylindrical vessel, on the shell 6 of which perpendicular to the axis there are two coaxial openings 7 and 8 for inlet/outlet of the measured medium through hermetically connected inlet and outlet manifolds 3 and 4, respectively. A device 9 for simulating liquid flow shape is installed at the inlet 7. A cover 12 of the measuring unit 2 is attached to the housing 1 through a flange 10 using a ring 11. A rubber lining is used to seal the connection. On the inner end of the cover 12 there are three threaded openings 13, in which are installed pins 14, which serve as axes for mounting supports 15. On the axes 14 there are shock absorbers 16, whose movement is limited by a washer 17 and a locking pin 18. On the end of the cover 12 and the support 15 there are coaxial openings and a lining with bearings, on which is mounted the axis 19 of the measuring unit 2. The measuring unit is a movable system of two prismatic buckets 201, 202 with a triangular cross-section and lateral plates 21, to which is attached a load 22, wherein on the lower plane in the middle between the buckets 201, 202 there is a permanent magnet 23. On the outer end of the cover 12 of the measuring unit 2 there are openings for mounting an electromagnetic sensor 24, handles 25 and a level gauge 26. The opening for mounting the electromagnetic sensor is made such that its centre coincides with the trajectory of the permanent magnet 23 of the measuring unit 2. The electrical heater 5 consists of an electrical heating cable 27, placed in a heat-insulating jacket 28 with a heat-insulating cover 29, in which is mounted an explosion-proof terminal box 30 for supplying power to the cable 27. The space between the cable 27, the cover 29 and the jacket 28 is filled with heat-insulating bulk filler 31. The arrangement of the electrical heater on the outer surface of the meter housing enables to reduce viscosity of the measured viscous liquid, which allows even highly viscous liquids to freely pass through the meter with the risk of the liquids sticking to internal mechanical elements, which improves measurement accuracy, and also does not require maintenance of high excess pressure inside the meter housing, thereby simplifying operating conditions and improving reliability. Simple operating conditions and high reliability of the meter are ensured by making the outlet manifold in the form of a straight pipe section for free discharge of the liquid, the arrangement of the permanent magnet on the lower plane between buckets and providing the electromagnetic sensor with an electronic collector board in the form of a programmable device, signals from the output of which can be directly transmitted to a computer or telemetry system.
EFFECT: invention provides high measurement accuracy and high reliability of the meter.
