FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and can be used in production of oil from highly watered wells without water lifting to the surface. The multistage submersible water-oil separator is a cascade of successive hydraulically connected stages of separators, each stage consists of parallel connected separators with oil outlets combined into flow line which is common for all separators using a pressure regulating device and with water outlets, connected to inlets of respective subsequent stage of separators. The first stage of separation has separators, separating mechanical impurities from the main flow into a separate channel, after which the oil and water separators are mounted. Each of separators is provided with a separation device and separating variable pitch screw the blades of which form with axis of rotation in the meridional section the constant or the monotonically decreasing angle in the range from 90 to 30°. The number of stages in cascade is calculated using an iterative formula.
EFFECT: invention provides the specified degree of water purification from oil and solids due to optimum selection of the number of parallel and series-connected separators.
