SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument-making and can be used in an electrophotographic system. The present invention is aimed at providing a fixing element, having a flexible surface and which can transfer a large amount of heat to printing material and toner during a short period of time. The fixing element comprises a substrate, an elastic layer and a separating layer. The coefficient of thermal activity in the depth region from the surface of the separating layer is 1.5 kJ/(m2×K×s0.5) or higher. The depth region corresponds to the thermal diffusion length when the alternating current temperature wave, having frequency of 10 Hz, acts on the surface of the separating layer. The surface micro-hardness of the rubber is 85 degrees or less.
EFFECT: invention provides stable transfer of heat to toner and printing material while simultaneously preventing excess pressing pressure on the toner.
