FIELD: musical instruments.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to percussion musical instruments and can be used in production of musical instruments for different music genres and styles. Percussion musical instrument contains snare head with strings, pad, silencer, silencer position control mechanism relative to front deck, control mechanism is equipped with Ericsson nut, grub screw, screw holder and set-in nut, wherein screw is rigidly connected with Ericsson nut, which are installed on rear face with possibility of rotation. Set-in nut is rigidly installed on pad and kinematically connected with grub screw with possibility of pad with silencer plane-parallel movement relative to front deck surface, and snare head strings are rigidly fixed on guides and pressed to front deck on instrument inner side, which enables to adjust snare head strings free motion suppression degree. Front deck has rigid tight coating on inner side, which enables to prevent snare head strings oscillations suppressing by improving their rebound from resilient solid surface.

EFFECT: separator is made in form of rectangular panel with seal, moved by means of screw mechanism, at separator pressing to front deck on inner side front deck is divided into two independent areas for playing, upper area is emitting only high-frequency sounds at impact, lower one emits only low-frequency sounds.
