FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation and can be used in designing various location systems, designed for aircrafts (AC) navigation. Said result is achieved due to fact, that navigation method consists in using of area reference map plotted before beginning of AC travel, selection of reference map area section (measuring section), current map plotting by measuring section parameters measurement using radio waves with accumulation of results of height one-beam measurements and increasing uncertainty square dimensions in direction of AC travel within measuring section, comparison of current and reference maps measuring sections obtained values, calculating path correction signal by three coordinates of reference map based on altitude measurements results difference determination, saving of altitude measurement results, as well as consists in correction signal repeated calculation using coordinate grid with considerably smaller pitch, which will determine accuracy of AC travel path correction signal calculating, and further AC travel controlling by correcting their location according to measuring section passage.
EFFECT: technical result is faster operation of AC navigation due to quick processing of obtained information.
