SUBSTANCE: hydraulic brake of artillery piece recoil comprises a cylinder, a piston, a rod, a spindle, a valve assembly, a stuffing box, an adjusting ring. In its front portion the housing has a recoil increace adjusting device consisting of a joint of a splined control device housing sleeve with splines on the end of the spindle, a screw joint of a spindle screw with a toothed transmission wheel rotatable in thrust bearings rigidly mating with a toothed wheel connected to a motor shaft through an amplifier by an elevating mechanism rotation sensor.

EFFECT: stabilized recoil length at high angles of barrel elevation.
