Method includes a step of loading partition data, "horizontal/vertical" data, indicating, whether partition is horizontal or vertical partition, mode data and reference type data for at least part of video frame. Further, method includes determining first estimated cost of a bit during entropy coding, comprising cost of bit during entropy coding for combined encoding of partition data and mode data and cost of bit during entropy coding for coding "horizontal/vertical" data.
EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding video data.
