FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises atomizing of magnesium alloy supernatant liquid in a protective gas atmosphere with a rotating spray cup. Atomization is carried out in a protective gas atmosphere positioned between the surface of the spray cup and the cooling medium. Gaseous nitrogen with a dew point less than - 50°C is used as the protective atmosphere, and 4-6 percent KOH alkaline aqueous solution is used as the cooling medium.
EFFECT: higher mechanical properties of magnesium alloys.
