SUBSTANCE: automotive engine exhaust system includes an exhaust system component (3) and a non-conductive retaining element (5). The exhaust system component (3) is retained by the automobile body via the non-conductive retaining element (5). The automobile engine exhaust system includes a static electricity neutralizer of the self-discharging type (10), which, being in a state wherein the static electricity neutralizer of the self-discharging type is mounted on the non-conducting wall surface, reduces the electrical charge amount on the non-conductive wall surface in a limited area around the installation place of the static electricity neutralizer of the self-discharging type. The static electricity neutralizer of the self-discharging type (10) is mounted on the non-conductive retaining member (5) so that the static electricity is removed for the exhaust system component.

EFFECT: removing static electricity from the exhaust system components.
