SUBSTANCE: thread is passed along the upper eyelid by successive sticking in and out from the medial corner of the eye along the middle of the tarsal plate, each subsequent sticking in coincides with the previous sticking out. The thread is stuck in at the lateral margin of the upper lid tarsal plate, and stuck out at the lateral edge of the lower eyelid tarsal plate, where the thread is passed to the medial corner of the eye along the middle of the lower eyelid tarsal plate the same way as on the upper eyelid, and then the thread ends are tied at the medial corner of the eye and fixed to the medial canthal ligament.
EFFECT: method allows eylid adaptation to the eyeball, thereby protecting its anterior segment from damaging and maintaining cornea hydration.
