FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for lagophthalmos correction in patients with chronic paralysis of facial nerve. Needle carrier sticking is performed with thread made of polydiaksanon with bidirectional notches for thread lifting within the outer edge of orbit perpendicular to the skin surface up to periosteum. Needle carrier is inserted in soft tissue of the lower eyelid along ciliary border parallel to the skin surface and movement of needle carrier in a projection of lachrymal furrow is finished. Needle is removed from tissues, soft tissues of infraorbital region are lifted by fixing soft tissues of eyelid on thread notches and tightening thread in retrograde direction to eliminate eversion, and then cut off excess thread.
EFFECT: method enables to recover position of the lower wreath, narrow eye slit vertically without changing its horizontal size.
