FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device to prevent choanal lumen scar imperforation for newborns is designed as a tube of elastic material with a jumper. The tube is equipped with ring clamps at its ends. The elastic material is a polymer material for medical products manufacture. The tube is made with complete dissection into two equal parts, that are parallel. Both parts are made with a middle bend of 140-170 degrees. Each part includes a distal end provided with a ring, and a proximal end. The jumper has the form a rectangle 1/5h high and 1/2d wide, where h is the height of the tube, and d is the outer diameter of the tube that connects the side surfaces tube parts proximal ends.
EFFECT: invention allows reliable and secure fixation, prevention of granulations sprouting in the lumen during his stay in the nasopharynx and deformations of the nasal cavity vestibule, and individual formation of the device distal portion based on the nasopharynx shape and size.
