FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to otolaryngology, and can be used in the surgical treatment of diseases of the nasal cavity, namely atresia of the nasal cavity. Septal splint for treatment of atresia of the nasal cavity contains a silicone base with an annular cross-section of the working part. Working part is made in the form of a tube for forming choana and has rounded edges at the distal end and a section in the form of an open circle. In this case, the working part is connected in one piece with the installation fixator for the nasal cavity, made in the form of a flexible plate 3.5–4.5 mm thick and the width equal to the maximum diameter of the tube.
EFFECT: achieved technical result is the creation of conditions for the formation of the nasal passage in the atresia zone, with the exception of the risk of relapse, including the appearance of adhesions and synechiae in the opposite nasal cavity in patients after endonasal elimination of choanal atresia.
