FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to otorhinolaryngology and rehabilitation medicine. After the choanostome is formed, the remaining upper and lower flaps are formed from the mucosa. Fibrin glue is applied onto the wound surface of the flaps. The upper flap is laid with the adhesive surface placed in the area of the base of the sphenoid sinus. The lower flap is laid with the adhesive surface placed on the nasal floor in the area of the resected vomer fragment. Excess mucosa is removed in the area of the atretic membrane using a microdebrider. The haemorrhaging areas are coagulated using a coagulator. After that, another layer of fibrin glue is applied on top of the laid flaps.
EFFECT: free breathing through the nasal passage provided immediately after surgery due to the optimised method for securing septal flaps onto wound surfaces without applying any stents or swabs.
