SUBSTANCE: use: in electric power engineering. Ice deposits on wire thickness determination device comprises sensor, power supply source, storage capacitor and switch, wherein sensor represents capacitor, made with possibility of arrangement on wire so, that wire and/or deposits on wire were located between plates, besides, switch is connected to electric power supply, sensor and storage capacitor and made with possibility of alternate sensor connection to electric power supply and storage capacitor.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in accuracy and reliability of ice deposits on OTL wires detecting and thickness measuring.
