FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, especially to the means of improving the reliability of electrical industrial and diagnostics of insulation of stator windings of induction asynchronous electromotors. The method consists of identifying and monitoring changes in time ratios of the impedances of the windings of the asynchronous electric motor stator, as well as identifying and tracking changes over the time of insulation resistance of the stator windings, relative to the body. It is made by means of measuring the leakage current in case of the asynchronous motor when applying to a voltage stator winding after disconnecting the motor from mains. Determination of the stator impedance windings is done indirectly by using the measured values of currents and voltages in the stator windings of the electromotor.

EFFECT: invention allows to diagnose the decrease in the insulation resistance of windings of the induction electromotor stator with respect to the motor housing and interturn faults on the early stage of development.
