SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers and in particular to the marking components of metal cans with machine-readable information. A can butt end comprises an end casing and a pull tab that defines the outer perimeter, including the wrapped edge, and a two-dimensional bar code located on the underside of the pull tab and suitable for readout on a wireless handheld device, when the butt is in the open configuration.
EFFECT: invention expands the range of products allowing the computer equipment to read information from their surface.
