FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethane composition for making moulded articles. Composition contains thermoplastic polyurethane and 1–20 pts.wt of a cross-linking agent, in form of an organic peroxide, a silane compound or a cross-linking agent. Thermoplastic polyurethane is obtained by reacting organic diisocyanate, polymer polyol and chain extender. Polymer polyol has number-average molecular weight 1,000–5,000. Chain extender comprises a linear diol and a diol, containing an alkyl group in side chain, at a ratio of 97/3–60/40. Content of nitrogen atoms in thermoplastic polyurethane varies from 1.5 to 4.0 wt%.
EFFECT: thermoplastic polyurethane, used in said composition has excellent transparency, cold resistance, wear resistance and mechanical properties, and exhibits low rate of thickening even when melt is used for a long period of time.
