SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethane, a method of producing a molded article containing thermoplastic polyurethane, as well as a molded article obtained using the disclosed method. Thermoplastic polyurethane is obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate composition, a chain-extending agent and a polyol composition. Polyol composition contains at least one polyol (P1) with molecular weight Mw in range from 500 to 2,000 g/mol, which contains at least one block of aromatic polyester (B1). Aromatic polyester block (B1) is a polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate block. Molar ratio of the chain extending agent and polyol (P1) ranges from 40:1 to 1:10. Content of rigid segments in thermoplastic polyurethane is less than 75 %.
EFFECT: obtained thermoplastic polyurethane is transparent, has high hardness, modulus of elasticity, as well as excellent breaking elongation.
