SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethane, as well as to a method of producing a molded article containing thermoplastic polyurethane, and a molded article, which can be obtained using said method. Said thermoplastic polyurethane is obtained by reacting at least one polyisocyanate composition, at least one chain-extending agent and at least one polyol composition. Polyol composition contains at least one polyol (P1) with molecular weight Mw in range from 1,500 to 2,500 g/mol and contains at least one block of aromatic polyester (B1). Aromatic ester block (B1) is a polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate block. Molar ratio of the chain extending agent and polyol (P1) ranges from 40:1 to 1:10.
EFFECT: obtained thermoplastic polyurethane has high tear strength, as well as glass transition temperature below 5 °C.
