SUBSTANCE: systems and methods of fuel leak detection in gas turbine engines are disclosed. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, a method of fuel leak detection in a gas turbine engine is proposed. The method may comprise regulation of the control valve to match a required fuel consumption, determination of an actual fuel consumption based, at least partly, on pressure at the fuel manifold inlet and one or more parameters of the gas turbine engine and comparison of the required fuel consumption with the actual fuel consumption. Furthermore, the method may comprise determination of a differential between the required fuel consumption and the actual fuel consumption which indicates a fuel leak.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of detection.
