The mirror assembly includes a tube head, a filter, a plug body adapted to functional connection to the control element and attached removably to the head tube and to the filter for ensuring the selective removal of the head tube and the filter from the plug body when the plug body is mounted for use and attached to the control element. The tube head includes at least one element operable to selectively release the filter from the tube head. A filter cartridge for draining system comprises the tube head having a sealing device for sealing engagement with the drain system when the filter cartridge is moved from the discharge position to the plugged position, the filter for filtering at least a portion of the fluid medium flowing through the drain system when the filter cartridge is mounted and the plug head is in the discharge position, the filter being attached removably to the plug head for replacing the filter by a replaceable one. The tube head includes at least one element operable to selectively release the filter from the tube head. The method of using the mirror assembly to remove debris from the fluid medium basin drain system, comprising the steps of disconnecting filter cartridge from the plug body installed within the fluid medium basin drain system, of actuating the release mechanism on the tube head of the filter cartridge for releasing the filter and debris from the plug head, the filter cartridge is attached to the plug head to form a replaceable filter cartridge, and the replaceable filter cartridge is attached to the plug body installed within the fluid medium basin drain system.

EFFECT: invention extends the product range of drain filters for sewerage, providing the replacement of the filter element in an effective, reliable and hygienic way.
