SUBSTANCE: aerosol generating system comprises a first component comprising a first fluid channel. The system also includes a first airflow passage and a reservoir holding an aerosol generating substrate. The first fluid channel is in fluid communication with the reservoir. The system also includes a second component containing a second fluid channel and a second air flow passage. The system also includes a connection connecting the first component to the second component in a rotatable manner. Rotation by connecting the first component and the second component from the first corner to the second corner relative to each other connects the first fluid passage to the second fluid passage and connects the first air flow passage to the second air flow passage. The system also comprises a destructible element connected to the first component and the second component, whereas the rotation of the first component and the second component relative to each other destroys the destructible element.
