FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrocarbon conversion plant, in which a converter for catalytic conversion of hydrocarbons is connected to a discharge line of a first stream of converted gas from a converter for catalytic conversion of hydrocarbons and a discharge line of a second stream of converted gas from a converter for catalytic conversion of hydrocarbons, wherein the first stream of converted gas discharge line enables to direct the first stream of converted gas to the steam generation apparatus, second stream of converted gas discharge line enables to direct the second stream of converted gas into the heat exchange circuit of the additional steam reforming apparatus. Invention also relates to a method of operating said apparatus.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of upgrading existing plants in order to increase their efficiency, as well as increasing the service life of the equipment; reduced requirements for used equipment; flexibility of plant operation control; simplification of the process scheme while maintaining a high degree of conversion of methane; reduction of hydraulic losses along the natural gas reforming path.
