HOLLOW POPPET VALVE Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC F01L3/14

Abstract RU 2615885 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: valve (10) comprises a rod (12a), a valve plate (14), formed integrally with the rod (12a) at one its end, and an inner cavity, that extends from the poppet valve (14) into the rod (12a). The internal cavity is filled with cutting fluid (19) together with an inert gas and a cavity (S1) of the valve plates (14) with a larger inner diameter and a linear cavity (S2) of the rod (12a) with a small inner diameter and a cavity communicating with the central zone of the valve plates at a right angle. The shaft cavity (S2) has a first section (S22) next to the valve plate (14) and a second section (S21) next to the shaft end (12a). Wherein, the inner diameter of the second section (S21) is greater than the diameter of the first section (S22). The shaft cavity (12a) has an annular step (17), and the cavity is filled with cutting fluid (19) to a level above the annular step (17).

EFFECT: improved reliability of the valve.
