FIELD: physics, measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of research and analysis of process bulk materials, including food, characterized by bulk density. The method involves determination of thermal properties parameters of a bulk material layer and is based on the principles of pulse thermal non-destructive testing of material. To register the temperature field of the surface layer of bulk material after exposure to heat pulse, a thermal imager is used. To form the sample layer of process bulk material, a process container with fixed side walls and removable front and rear walls is used. Coaxial holes for focal spot formation are made in the front and rear walls. The holes are covered with polypropylene. To calculate the volumetric specific heat coefficient, the excess temperature of sample rear unexposed surface with respect to its initial temperature is used.
EFFECT: invention provides improved accuracy and reliability of bulk process material thermal properties determination.
