FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to units for heating samples of materials and methods for measuring their heat capacity and thermal conductivity, including in the high temperature range. To ensure the possibility of measuring the thermophysical properties of materials in the high temperature region and to ensure the possibility of detecting local inhomogeneities and defects in the structure of materials, including those that appear during sudden temperature changes (heating and cooling), using heating with a laser source in inert environments and using non-contact registration of material parameters from the back and front surfaces of the sample, heating of the sample under study is carried out with a laser source with the ability to spatially and temporally modulate the radiation density, and registration of the sample temperature is carried out using thermal imagers, which are located in front and behind the sealed chamber, in addition, temperature values are recorded with using the above thermal imagers on the front and back surfaces of the sample in a non-contact manner.
