FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to units for heating samples of materials and methods for measuring their heat capacity and thermal conductivity, including in the high temperature range. A method is proposed for measuring the thermophysical properties of materials using laser heating in inert media and using non-contact recording of material parameters from the back and front surfaces of the sample. Heating of the sample under study is carried out by a laser source with the ability to spatially and temporally modulate the radiation density, and the temperature of the sample is recorded using pyrometers, which are located in front and behind the sealed chamber. Moreover, the pyrometer located in front of the camera is pre-calibrated and is energy-based, while the one located behind the camera is spectral. In addition, temperature values are recorded using the above pyrometers.
EFFECT: provision of ability to measure the heat capacity and thermal conductivity of materials in the high temperature range using laser heating in inert media and the use of non-contact recording of material parameters from the back and front surfaces of the sample.
