SUBSTANCE: planetary gear mechanism converting rotational motion into reciprocating rotational motion contains a housing, in which the input and output shafts, gears, satellite and the carrier is mounted coaxially. The fixed elliptical gear is rigidly mounted on the housing coaxially to the input shaft. Another elliptical gearwheel is mounted on the output shaft. The carrier is mounted on the input shaft and connected with the other end through a turning pair with the satellite shaft. The satellite consists of the elliptical gearwheel and elliptical pinion. The movable elliptical wheel is connected with a stationary elliptical gear of the same size, and the elliptical satellite pinion is engaged with elliptical gearwheel of the same size. The minor semi-axis b₁ of one elliptical wheel pair may differ from the minor semi-axis b₂ of the other pair.
