FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for preparing laboratory samples and can be used in chemical, biological, food and other testing laboratories for shaking and mixing samples in test tubes during research. Laboratory shaker includes a motor and a holder for fixation of test tubes with a sample; at that, it contains a housing in which there installed is an input shaft rigidly connected to the motor shaft, coaxial intermediate and output shafts. On the housing coaxially to the intermediate shaft the fixed elliptical gear wheel is rigidly fixed, on the output shaft the other elliptical gear wheel is installed. On the input shaft there is a cylindrical gear wheel and is connected to the carrier by a gear transmission, at that, the carrier is made in the form of a cylindrical gear wheel installed on the intermediate shaft and connected through the rotary kinematic pair to the satellite shaft, consisting of elliptical gear wheel and elliptical gear turned through 180° relative to each other and connected by shaft. Elliptical gear wheel of the satellite is connected to the fixed elliptical gear wheel of the same size, and the elliptical gear wheel of the satellite is in engagement with the elliptical gear wheel of the same size, wherein minor semi-axle b1 of one pair of elliptical wheels may differ from semi-minor axle b2 of the other pair while major semi-axles a of all elliptical wheels are identical. All elliptical wheels are installed on their shafts in such a way that the axis of rotation of the shaft passes through a point called the focal point of the dividing ellipse, which is located on the major semi-axis of the dividing ellipse at a distance c1 equal to from centre of dividing ellipse for one pair of wheels and distance c2 equal to for other pair, and thus ensuring continuity of their engagement. On the carrier opposite to the satellite shaft at the distance H equal to the distance between the axes of rotation of the intermediate shaft and the satellite shaft there is a counterweight, the mass of which is equal to the mass of the satellite. Output link with test tube holder is rigidly fixed on output shaft.

EFFECT: increase of compactness and balance of the actuating mechanism of the laboratory shaker, as well as reduction of its injury risk and high reliability.
