SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The gear mechanism for converting rotational motion into an uneven one contains a housing in which the input and output shafts are installed coaxially, a central stationary gearwheel with internal teeth rigidly fixed to the housing coaxially with the input shaft, a satellite consisting of a cylindrical gearwheel and an elliptical gearwheel of the satellite located on to the satellite shaft, a carrier mounted on the input shaft and connected through a rotary kinematic pair with the satellite shaft, an elliptical gear wheel attached to the output shaft. The elliptical gears have the same dimensions and are mounted on the shafts in such a way that the axis of rotation of each shaft passes through a point called the focal point of the pitch ellipse of the elliptical gear, which is located on the semi-major axis of the pitch ellipse.
EFFECT: increased strength and efficiency of transmission, and the ability to adjust the coefficient of uneven rotation of the output link.
