SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means of determining the user's path. The data on the location of the communication device associated with the user are received by the positioning server. The sequence data are received, associated with the location data and indicating the order in which the location data were determined. The received location data and data about the location area, defining a plurality of zones, are compared, and the location data received from one or more of the plurality of zones are associated. The user's path passing through the points defined by the associated location data and the associated sequence data are determined by the determining device. The defined user's path with one or more predetermined user's paths is compared by means of the comparator. The associated location data depending on the comparison result are processed by the positioning server, and the certain user's way is corrected by the positioning server based on the processed associated location data.

EFFECT: invention provides increasing accuracy of determining the user's location.
