FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: separation unit is configured able to split a tape material along pre-formed lines of weakening by passing through the said separation unit. Separation unit has a width direction and comprises at least the first roller with an axis of rotation passing in the direction of width and at least one second roller with a rotation axis passing in parallel to the axis of rotation of the first roller. Second roller is located at some distance from the first roller, herewith the distance is counted in the direction perpendicular to the direction of width. Both rollers are equipped with at least one extending element perpendicular from the axes. Each extending element has the maximum width in the width direction, the maximum radial length from the rotation axis, an inner section adjacent to the axis of rotation, as well as an outer section remote from the axis of rotation. Outer sections of the extending elements on the rollers are arranged in the staggered order, thus forming a wavy passage for the tape material between the rollers. Length of the radial covering is 2–40 mm, preferably 2–20 mm, more preferably 3–12 mm, most preferably 4–10 mm.

EFFECT: proposed is a separation unit for separation of a tape material along pre-formed lines of weakening.
