FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for electrochemical sodium hypochlorite production involves preparation of a sodium chloride aqueous solution by mixing water and salt at a particular concentration, and electrolysis. The method is characterized by water or water-salt solution exposure to high voltage discharge pulse electrohydraulic impact prior to electrolysis.
EFFECT: increased yield of electrolysis products and sodium hypochlorite reactivity.
