FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: batch is molten with the composition, wt %: K2O 9-20, ZnO 20-35, Al2O3 11-22, SiO2 32-44, Eu2O3 - 0.01-3 mol % at a temperature of 1520-1580°C. The melt is cast in a cold mould and annealed at a temperature of 500-550°C. Additional heat treatment is carried out at a temperature ranging from 650 to 900 °C for 1-200 h, and the glass crystalline material is cooled down to the room temperature. The obtained transparent glass-ceramic based on ZnO-based crystals is made based on potassium-zinc-aluminium-cilicate glass with a crystalline phase of zinc oxide and trivalent europium ions impurity in an amount of 0.01 to 3 mol %.

EFFECT: increased absorption in the near-infrared.
