FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of aero-derivative internal combustion engines with compression ignition. The invention consists in the system with an engine element, transmission element and propeller element. The system comprises one or more pressure measuring element in the combustion chamber arranged to measure the peak cylinder pressure (Pmax) in one or more chambers of the engine compression element. Wherein the control system device is configured to implement the engine element control strategy based on the Pmax comparison with the predetermined "normal" maximum cylinder pressure (Pmax n). At that, the control strategy is adapted to advance the time of fuel injection in each of one or more compression chambers of the engine element, if Pmax exceeds Pmax n, to compensate for larger ignition delay and better peak cylinder pressure performance with low-acetane fuel.
EFFECT: invention provides more efficient engine control.
