FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of engine operation in response to bypass flap position. In one example, method is used for controlling actuator in order to reduce probability of ignition failure in engine cylinder in response to bypass flap position. Thus, it can be possible to control engine operation to change conditions of engine operation.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of reliable method of determining engine ignition failures and possibility to cross check for other methods of ignition failure detection.
