FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: casting magnesium alloy with rare earth metals is proposed. The alloy contains, wt %: Y of more than 5.0 to 7.0; Gd 5.0 to less than 7.0; Sm 1.0-5.0 when the ratio (Y+Gd): Sm of from 2.8 to less than 14.0; Zr 0.2-0.6; Mg is the rest.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength and heat resistance indicators achieved at the optimum combination of alloying components and reduced time of hardening heat treatment.
