FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to magnesium-based casting alloys, and can be used to produce critical parts for the aerospace industry operating under high loads. Magnesium-based casting alloy contains, by weight%: neodymium 1,8-2,2, gadolinium 4,5-5,5, yttrium 1,6-2,0, zinc 0,1-0,5, zirconium 0,4–1,0, magnesium and impurities - the rest.
EFFECT: invention enables to produce magnesium alloy having an operating temperature of up to 250 °C, for a short time up to 300 °C and a higher ignition temperature in air at a high level of mechanical properties.
