FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to casting alloys based on magnesium, and can be used in production of parts for aerospace industry, operating under high loads at temperatures of up to 250 °C and for a short time at temperatures of up to 300 °C. Foundry alloy based on magnesium contains, wt. %: neodymium 3–4.5, yttrium 3–4, zinc 0.15–0.8, zirconium 0.4–1.0, magnesium and impurities – the rest.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high values of resistance to breaking, relative elongation after thermal treatment according to T6 mode, as well as high corrosion resistance and operating temperature of up to 250 °C.
