FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of electric contacts production, in particular to formation on copper electric contacts of coatings based on tungsten, nickel and copper, which can be used in electrical engineering. Method involves electric explosion of composite electrically blasted conductor, consisting of two-layer flat copper shell with weight of 60–360 mg and core in form of tungsten and nickel powders, taken in ratio of 10:1 with weight equal to 0.5–2.0 of shell weight, formation of pulse multiphase plasma jet from explosion products, melting of copper electric contact surface with its products at absorbed power density of 4.5–6.5 GW/m2, deposition of explosion products onto surface with production of W-Ni-Cu system composite coating on it and subsequent coating surface pulse periodic electron beam treatment at absorbed power density of 40–60 J/cm2, pulses duration of 150–200 mqs and number of pulses of 10–30.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at production on copper contacts electro-erosion resistant coating with high adhesion to base at cohesion level.
