SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses systems and methods for ultrasound imaging, which can be used for doctor assistance in the determination of locations of damages during an ultrasound examination, which were previously detected by images obtained by another imaging system, for example a system of magnetic resonance imaging. A method for correlation of images of two or more different medical imaging systems is proposed, including: reception of imaging data obtained using tissue imaging, using the first imaging method; reception of an indication on an assumed location of a damage inside imaged tissue relatively to received imaging data; selection of a deformation model based on received imaging data; application of the selected deformation model to the assumed location of the damage for the generation of a predicted location of the damage during tissue imaging, using the second imaging method, wherein the deformation model takes into account the difference in tissue deformation between the first imaging method and the second imaging method, wherein the second imaging method is an ultrasound method, wherein a visual indication on at least one of proposed positions of an ultrasound probe for damage imaging is provided; provision of a visual indication on the predicted location for the direction of collection of image data, using the second imaging method; input of parameters of the actual damage location; change in the deformation model based on the actual damage location in case if the actual damage location is beyond the predicted location and/or exceeds a threshold distance from the predicted damage location.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a possibility of improvement of correlation between ultrasound breast images and breast images obtained by other methods.
