FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: charging metal part of the stock, melting and alloying melt with complex mixture are carried out in the process. The complex mixture is prepared by mixing of magnesium oxide, calcium carbide and waste of the electrode production recycled stock, consisting of silicon carbide and graphite, then the prepared dried mixture is filled on the bottom of the induction furnace, poured with cast iron shot and the metal stock charging is carried out, then it is melted and the melt temperature is brought up to 1390…1420°C, at which it is evacuated to a residual pressure of 3…13 Pa.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to smelt synthetic high-strength cast iron to provide a complex alloying, refining, graphitizing and modifying effect on the melt, which makes it possible to increase the physical, mechanical and foundry properties of the cast iron.
