FIELD: textile, paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a paper-like nanocomposite material based on mineral fibers which may be used as capillary-porous elements of air cooling systems of evaporative type. Mineral fibers are glass and/or basalt fibers with an average diameter of 0.4 microns. Binder is a sodium aluminate NaAlO2 and aluminium sulphate Al2(SO4)3 with the following ratio of components, wt %: mineral fiber - 50-90, NaAlO2 - 5-25 (on Al2O3), Al2(SO4)3 - 5-25 (on Al2O3). The material is produced with the traditional paperproduction equipment using a reflux method. The paper-like nanocomposite material is provided having strong characteristics of height and speed of water rise, water capacity and strength.
EFFECT: material is also characterised with thermal, chemo-, biostability, lack of toxicity and exhalation of substances in the air with harmful influence on the human body, resistant properties against mould, fungi and microorganisms in aqueous medium.
