SUBSTANCE: ion source comprises ionic and electron emitters, made of high purity silver in the form of pyramids or cones that act as reservoirs of the working substance, the surface of the ion emitters are coated with a thin film solid electrolyte crystalline mobile silver ions. Reliable operation of the ion source, its resistance to mechanical vibrations and accelerations provided by the rigid structure, wherein no reservoir of gaseous or liquid working medium and the system is in its power supply.

EFFECT: due to the higher density of the working substance proposed by the ion source is capable of generating a greater number of ions per unit volume of the working substance than discharge ion sources and sources with low-temperature ionic liquids.
